There is no need to pre-register your player for Bison tryouts. Simply attend the specific age level tryout, giving yourself enough time prior to the actual tryout to warm up and register at the field. Players need only attend one tryout.
Age Guidelines (player's age on the date below of playing season):
14U - 8th graders only (must be 14 or younger on April 30th)
13U - 7th & 8th graders only (must be 13 or younger on April 30th)
12U - 12 year olds and 11 year old, 6th graders (must be 11 or 12 on October 31st)
11U - 11 year olds and 10 year old, 5th graders (must be 10 or 11 on October 31st)
10U - 10 year olds and 9 year old, 4th graders (must be 9 or 10 on October 31st)
9U - 8 and 9 year olds (must be 9 or younger on October 31st)
Please Note: The above age guidelines are just that, simply recommendations but not hard rules. From past experience, DBOB strongly recommends that 12 year old and younger players participate with their age group and 13 year old and older players participate with their grade. However, we will assume a player's intention by the tryout they attend. For example, an 11 year old (any grade) that only attends the 11U tryout will only be considered for the 11U team. Yet, an 11 year old that attends the 12U tryout, will be considered for the 12U team, but will also be considered for the 11U team if they don't make the top 12U team.
Note2: Please notice that the tournament baseball (USSSA, CABA, TCS) age cutoff date is different from Little League. NBLL/SBLL use October 31st to identify a player's age for that summer. Tournament baseball organizations use April 30th to determine a player's age for that season. The Boulder Bison use the Little League age rules for the 12U and younger teams and the Tournament baseball age rules for the 13U and older teams for eligibility.
